Upcoming Wedding Bells
one month, just one week apart from each other, another friend, Alyssa in September, and my sister in April of '09. Recently at one of the Bridal Showers we were asked to give advice to the Bride. Yikes! Advice? Okay so I've been married for almost 3 years, I do not think that qualifies me to be giving advice. Here's all I was able to come up with.~ Remember to set time aside for your girlfriends, and do not be a pain when your hubby wants to set time aside for his guy friends. True, you and your husband will become incredibly close, best friends even, but there will always be certain things in a girls life that only her girlfriends will understand, and the same thing goes for the men too. ~

Adrienne and Trent will be getting hitched on the following Saturday, June 21st. These two first met years ago at what used to be the Liquid Lounge in HB. What started off as a great friendship soon turned into more. Now after dating for 6 years their big day is also right around the corner. How exciting! I wish these two nothing but happiness as well and since Adrienne has a bit of Greek in her - Na Zisete! - (long life to you). Congratulations you two!!
It's very strange to think that we are all grown up and married. I would of sworn that it was just yesterday that we were all just a bunch of annoying kids. (Cheesy cliche coming) Time sure does fly when you're having fun!! =)

The Big 4 0!
The real bash was on Saturday, May 24th. My mom was extremely kind and allowed me to use her home for the party. I had hired a casino company, we had 2 Blackjack tables, 1 Poker table, and 1 Craps table, so my mom pretty much had to take all of her furniture out of the house to make room. The slide below is the fun-filled night with Dean's family and friends helping him turn 40.

It's not supposed to be this difficult!
So, for about 2 years now, Dean and I have been trying to get pregnant. So far, no such luck. I'm actually starting to believe that people were right when they told me I was jinxing myself by already having my children's names picked out and by buying cute little onesie before I'm even prego.
Back in January I finally got frustrated enough and had my doc check me out to see what they heck was going on. Well apparently my hormones are all jacked up (thanks to birth control I'm sure). It's been 3 months now that my doc has been attempting to get my hormones balanced with Clomid and Progesterone. On top of taking Clomid (which by they way makes me super irritable and emotional) I frequently go in for ultrasounds. Unfortunately the ultrasounds have not brought good news yet. The Cloimd doesn't appear to be helping me. I'm not sure what the next step is but I'm sure my doc will just up the dosage of the Clomid. I've read stories where women have tried for like 6 years to get pregnant! My goodness! 6 years! I'm not so sure my emotions would ever be able to handle that. I'm already about to wimp out.
One moment I'm determined to do anything and everything possible to get pregnant no matter how long it takes. But then the very next moment I start to wonder. I know God said to go forth and populate the earth. Well isn't it possible that maybe the earth is now populated beyond what he meant? Like we took it a little too far. So maybe some people aren't supposed to get pregnant. Maybe the whole infertility thing is to slow down production. But then on the other hand if this were to be true, why wouldn't he choose the people who are unfit to be parents to carry that out? Oh I could go on all day, back and forth.
Well I must end here, I'm off to yet another ultrasound.

Christos Anesti!
Happy Easter!
The most important Holiday to a Greek Orthodox is Holy Friday (Good Friday) and Pascha (Easter). Greek Easter often falls on a different day then that of American Easter. One reason is because Greek Easter always comes after the Jewish Passover and the other reason is because when determining the date the Greeks follow the Julian Calendar instead of the Gregorian.
This year for Easter we kept it simple. We went to Taps in Brea. It was really nice spending time with the whole Angelus Family. We don't get together too often, so when we do it's always a treat. On the Angelus side of the family Dean and I have 4 niece's, and they are all growing so quickly.

Recent Events
March 3rd we went to the Bad Religion concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim. Bad Religion was great but can I just say, I'm pretty much at the point where I'm done going to the Anaheim H.O.B. Seriously they ALWAYS WAY oversell the shows and it's ALWAYS hotter than a sauna in there. We still had a good time though, thanks to Bad Religion. They really know how to put on a good show. They played a lot of their older stuff and mixed in a few of the new.
Then on March 5 we went to see Bad Religion again at the House of Blues but on Sunset. It was pretty cool, they played mainly their older stuff again but none of the same songs as the previous show. The only songs that were the same were the few new ones. This show was such a better experience. Our friend Kevin has a membership to the Foundation Room and was able to put us on the list for it. It was great. We got to hang out a bit with Greg Hetson (the guitarist) and get autographs for a few other members of the band. We had such a better time then that of the Anaheim show. H.O.B. Sunset is much bigger and has different levels so they can totally get away with selling a ton of tickets and everyone can still see the show and the people that work there are way more kick back and much nicer. I love L.A.! The picture below is from the L.A. show.
St.Patty's Day. As usual, true to tradition we went to the Harp Inn in Costa Mesa. It's been a long-standing tradition for us to get to the Harp on St.Patty's Day when they open and leave when they close. It's always tons of fun!!

Welp, there's my update of what we've been up to.
